ItCooking organizes at Hotel Villa La Montagnola

This way you have the opportunity to combine a holiday with a cooking school, by preparing traditional dishes together with our teaching chefs: from home-made pasta to typical cakes.

There are classes throughout the year, best season is from April to October.

Our chefs will share regional techniques, ingredients, and family recipes that have been passed down over the centuries. You’ll learn first-hand how to make tagliatelle, gnocchi, ravioli, scaloppine al marsala, tiramisù and much more.
Our classes include both hands-on cooking and visits to food artisans, olive oil and wine producers, local food markets, and food festivals. We will stop and buy the day's Ricotta and Pecorino cheeses from local farmers. The classes are taught in Italian and in English. After class you will eat at Villa La Montagnola and enjoy what you’ve prepared.

As Villa La Montagnola is very close to the Ugolino golf club there is also the opportunity to play golf surrounded by the beautiful Tuscan countryside.

There will be plenty of free time to explore the area on your own; we will be happy to organize trips for you to any of the many local towns of the Chianti area.
You’ll want to take advantage of local markets, festivals or sagre, and flea markets. Depending on the time of year, you may have the opportunity to watch the Easter "Scoppio del Carro" in Piazza del Duomo in Florence, to enjoy the atmosphere of the Palio in Siena, to walk in Tuscany’s best antiques market in Arezzo’s Piazza Grande, to share the tradition of the wine and olive oil festivals in Greve, or even to experience first hand the "vendemmia" (grape harvest) immersed in the beautiful countryside of Chianti.
